Summary of contents:

Context of funders requiring deposit.
Policies of different funders are available through Juilet http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/juliet/index.php

Most funding bodies relevant to White Rose Resaerch Online (WRRO) only require some form of recognized OA deposit. ESRC and Welcome require deposit into their archives.

Scenarios around ESRC / WRRO single deposit to two repositories have been detailed by the project http://eprints.whiterose.ac.uk/increase/esrc.html

Four scenarios outlined:
Deposit to local with SWORD push to Funder
Deposit local, harvested by funder
Deposit funder, with SWORD push to local
Deposit funder, harvested or bulk import to local

The scenarios briefly explore available options to avoid dual deposit, or single deposit.
They require a reliance on affiliation metadata, grant metadata, and timestamps.
The issue of how many copies/ version control is raised.

  1. Update: Project Final report notes that ESRC are working to facilitate researchers depositoing and “It is their aim to deploy SWORD functionality in the near future and to allow any SWORD Compliant repository to deposit ESRC funded outputs into their systems.”

further updates to this will be given on the above webpage
